A massive fire broke out at a factory in Naroda GIDC Phase-3 of Ahmedabad on Friday, triggering a major emergency response and sending thick plumes of smoke across the industrial area. More than seven fire brigade vehicles were rushed to the spot to contain the blaze.
The fire erupted at a company located on Plot No. 28, creating panic among workers in nearby factories and residents of the surrounding area. The intensity of the blaze made the smoke visible from a considerable distance.
On receiving the alert, teams from the Ahmedabad Fire Brigade reached the site with multiple fire tenders and immediately began firefighting operations. Firefighters continuously sprayed water to bring the flames under control while taking precautions to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring industrial units.
Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident. Officials said the cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The extent of the damage and the exact reason behind the blaze will be assessed after the fire is completely extinguished.
