The Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has imposed a ₹25,000 fine on Jeeman restaurant in Motera after a customer allegedly found a fly in a roti served at the eatery. An inspection by the AMC Food Department also found unhygienic conditions on the premises.
The incident occurred when a family visited the restaurant and ordered roti. According to the complaint, a customer noticed a fly in the roti and informed the restaurant manager and staff.The customer later approached the AMC Food Department and complained about the incident, seeking action against the restaurant.
Following the complaint, a Food Department team inspected the eatery.During the inspection, officials found unhygienic conditions and imposed a penalty of ₹25,000 on the restaurant.The action has once again highlighted concerns over food hygiene and safety standards at restaurants and eateries in Ahmedabad.
