After Adani Gas, Gujarat Gas has also increased the price of compressed natural gas (CNG), adding to the burden on motorists amid rising inflation.
Gujarat Gas has raised the CNG price by Rs 3.75 per kg, with the revised rate coming into effect from today. Following the hike, CNG will now cost Rs 88.76 per kg, compared with the earlier price of Rs 85.01 per kg.
The latest increase comes shortly after Adani Gas also raised its CNG prices. The back-to-back hikes are expected to affect the budgets of private vehicle owners as well as auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers who rely on CNG.
The increase has caused concern among drivers, who say rising fuel costs are adding to their financial burden.
