The Vadodara district administration has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges on Friday, July 31, following the India Meteorological Department’s forecast of heavy rainfall.
According to officials, the District Collector has issued an order directing all Anganwadis, government, grant-in-aid and private schools, as well as colleges in Vadodara city and district to remain closed as a precautionary measure.
The administration has warned that strict action will be taken against any institution that fails to comply with the order.
This is the second such closure in recent days, as schools in Vadodara city and district were also shut for two days last week due to heavy rain warnings.
