The Gujarat government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle by transferring and appointing 28 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 13 Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) officers.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) on July 21, 2026, several key postings have been changed, including Municipal Commissioners, District Development Officers (DDOs), and Managing Directors (MDs) of state government corporations and power companies.
The government has also issued transfer and appointment orders for 13 Class-I officers of the Gujarat Administrative Service (Selection/Senior Scale). The reshuffle includes changes in important positions across various government departments, corporations, boards and district administrations.
