A restaurant in Ahmedabad’s Ghodasar area has been fined ₹25,000 after a customer allegedly found a pest in the pav served with his meal.
The incident took place at Muralidhar Bhajipau, where the customer claimed he discovered the pest after eating part of the pav. He recorded a video of the incident and shared it on social media.
The customer alleged that he had ordered papad and two plates of bhaji pav. When he complained to the restaurant manager, he claimed the response was dismissive, with the manager allegedly telling him to “do whatever you want.”
The customer later lodged a complaint with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Food Department.
Following the complaint, AMC officials inspected the restaurant and imposed a ₹25,000 fine for violating food safety norms.
