The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to sell 15 valuable plots across the city to raise around ₹1,980 crore. The money will help fund the corporation’s ₹18,500 crore budget and support development projects.
The plots are located in Thaltej, Sola, Bodakdev, Chandkheda, Gota, Motera, Vatva, and other areas. Of the 15 plots, 8 are commercial and 7 are residential. They were allotted to AMC under the Town Planning (TP) scheme.The base price of the plots ranges from ₹40,000 to ₹3.10 lakh per square metre, depending on the location. The highest-priced plot is behind Rajpath Club in Bodakdev, while the lowest base price has been set for a plot in Vatva.
The Science City Road plot is expected to fetch the highest amount at around ₹345 crore. The largest plot, covering more than 16,000 square metres, is located in Motera.
AMC has started the sale process. The final selling price could be higher than the base price if there is strong demand, while some plots may not receive buyers.
