IndiGo has introduced a new economy fare called ‘IndiGo Lite’ for passengers travelling with only cabin baggage. The new fare is aimed at customers who want to pay only for the services they use.
The airline said the fare can be booked through its official website, mobile app and contact centre from Wednesday. It will be available for travel starting July 15, 2026.
IndiGo Lite will be offered on all domestic and international non-stop flights for one-way, round-trip and multi-city journeys. The fare is available for both adult and child passengers.
Passengers booking the Lite fare will get an auto-assigned seat and can carry one cabin bag of up to 7 kg at no extra cost. Services such as check-in baggage, preferred seats, meals and priority boarding can be added by paying an additional charge. These add-ons can be purchased up to one hour before departure through IndiGo’s website or at the airport.
IndiGo said the new fare has been introduced for travellers who prefer to travel light and want a lower ticket price by paying only for the services they need.
The airline also confirmed that passengers travelling on the Lite fare will continue to earn and redeem IndiGo BluChip loyalty points.
