Road-widening work in Vadodara’s Tarsali area has entered its final phase, prompting authorities to restrict the movement of heavy vehicles on a key stretch until June 30, 2026.
As part of the project aimed at easing traffic congestion, the road from Dwarkesh Farm in Tarsali village to the National Highway is being rebuilt with a durable RCC surface. The old road has already been removed, and construction work is progressing rapidly.
Officials said the RCC road from the Tarsali National Highway to the Sardar Patel Statue has been completed. However, the newly laid stretch between Shri Pushti Nagar Primary School and the Sardar Patel Statue is currently undergoing the curing process, which is essential to ensure the road’s long-term strength and durability. Therefore, only two-wheelers and light motor vehicles will be allowed to use this section until June 15.
Meanwhile, work on a 100-metre stretch between Dwarkesh Farm and the National Highway is still in progress. Due to the operation of heavy machinery and safety concerns, heavy vehicles have been prohibited from using this route until June 30.
The administration has advised motorists to take alternate routes during the restriction period and cooperate with traffic arrangements to help complete the project safely and on time.
