A video from Surat’s Sarthana Nature Park Zoo has triggered widespread outrage after a young man was allegedly seen throwing stones at a tiger inside its enclosure. The clip, which has gone viral on social media, has drawn sharp criticism from animal lovers and wildlife activists, who have demanded strict action against those involved.
The footage shows the tiger resting under a tree when a visitor allegedly throws stones towards the animal, apparently in an attempt to attract its attention. Although the video is only a few seconds long, animal welfare advocates fear that the tiger may have been subjected to prolonged disturbance before the recording began.
The incident has also raised concerns about the conduct of other visitors present at the scene. Reports suggest that several people were nearby when the act took place, yet no one appeared to intervene or immediately report the matter to zoo authorities.
