Three people sustained serious injuries after a car and a motorcycle collided near the Aslali overbridge on the outskirts of Ahmedabad during the early hours of Monday.
The accident occurred at around 2.30 am near the Aslali bridge. According to preliminary reports, the impact of the collision was severe, leaving the motorcycle badly mangled and scattering its parts across the roadway.
Residents living nearby rushed to the spot after hearing the crash and immediately informed emergency services. A 108 ambulance was dispatched to the scene, and all three injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Officials said the victims suffered serious injuries and are currently undergoing medical treatment. No fatalities were reported in the incident.
A senior officer from the Aslali Police Station said the accident took place between 2.30 am and 3 am. Police personnel reached the scene soon after receiving information and began a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
“The three injured individuals have been admitted to hospital and are receiving treatment. Fortunately, there has been no loss of life. Necessary legal procedures are underway, and a formal complaint is being registered,” the officer said.
The exact cause of the collision remains unclear. Police are examining the sequence of events and are expected to record statements from those involved as part of the ongoing investigation.
