In preparation for the monsoon season and expected heavy rainfall along the Konkan Railway corridor, Indian Railways will introduce a special monsoon timetable from June 15 to October 20, 2026.
As part of annual safety measures, trains passing through vulnerable sections of the Konkan route in southern India will operate under speed restrictions, resulting in revised schedules for 24 pairs of Western Railway trains.
The timetable changes will impact arrival and departure timings at several stations across Gujarat, including Ahmedabad Railway Station, one of the state’s busiest rail hubs. Railway authorities have advised passengers to check updated schedules before travelling to avoid inconvenience.
Officials said that several long-distance services connecting Gujarat with southern Indian destinations will run on modified schedules during the monsoon timetable period.
Travellers are encouraged to verify train timings through official railway channels before commencing their journeys.
