Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has started an investigation after a young woman allegedly found a bone fragment in a plate of panipuri sold by a roadside vendor near D-Mart in Ahmedabad.
According to preliminary information, the woman had visited the stall to eat panipuri when she allegedly noticed a bone-like object in the food item. The incident sparked concern over hygiene and food safety standards at roadside eateries in the area.
Following the allegation, AMC officials said a team has been sent to investigate the matter. Authorities are expected to inspect the stall, examine food preparation methods and verify the authenticity of the claim as part of the inquiry.
Officials said no formal complaint or laboratory confirmation regarding the suspected object had been received at the time of filing this report. Further action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
