A tragic accident unfolded on Friday afternoon when a 20-year-old student lost her life in a hit-and-run on Sarkhej-Dholka Road, Ahmedabad. The victim, identified as Kavya Sunil Pandya, was riding her two-wheeler when a dumper truck reportedly crashed into her vehicle and fled the scene.
The incident occurred around 12:45 PM near New Fatewadi, close to the Azadnagar bus stop. According to police reports from M Division Traffic Police Station, Kavya was en route to Rai University located in Chaloda, within Dholka taluka.
Witnesses claim that the dumper driver was speeding and driving recklessly at the time of the collision. The force of the impact caused severe head and body injuries to Kavya, resulting in her death at the scene.
Authorities are currently working tirelessly to identify the driver responsible for this heinous act. They are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas and gathering information from locals. Police have stated that further investigation is ongoing.
