Students from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Ahmedabad Institute of Technology (AIT) recently participated in an industrial visit as part of an initiative organised by the institute’s Standards Club in association with the Bureau of Indian Standards, Ahmedabad.
Aimed at bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical exposure, the visit provided students with firsthand insight into modern manufacturing processes, operational systems, and emerging industry trends. Through on-site interactions, students gained a clearer understanding of how engineering concepts are applied in real-world settings, along with valuable exposure to quality standards and practices followed on the factory floor.
