The AVC Men’s Cup 2026 will be held from June 20 to 28 at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Naranpura, Ahmedabad.
The tournament will bring top volleyball teams from across Asia to the city.A total of 38 matches will be played over nine days. Teams from 12 countries, including India, Australia, Pakistan, Korea, Qatar, and Thailand, will take part in the event.The tournament is being organised by the Sports Authority of Gujarat along with the Asian Volleyball Confederation and the Volleyball Federation of India.
Officials said the event is not just about sports but also about building international friendship and cultural exchange. It will help promote volleyball in India and encourage young athletes.
The tournament is also important as Ahmedabad is preparing to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games. Organisers believe such events will help improve sports facilities and boost interest among fans.
AVC President Ramon Suzara said the competition will showcase top-level volleyball and increase the sport’s popularity across Asia.
