A fatal road accident on the BRTS corridor in Surat’s Pandesara area has come to light after dashcam footage of the incident went viral.
As per reports, a moped rider entered the BRTS lane—restricted for public use—and was travelling on the wrong side when he collided head-on with a bus. The impact was severe, and the rider died on the spot.
The incident, captured on a nearby dashcam, shows the moped Suddenly entering the bus lane from the opposite direction before crashing into the oncoming BRTS bus.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and have launched an investigation. Authorities are also examining CCTV footage to determine the exact sequence of events and fix responsibility.
