The management of the Ranchhodraiji Temple in Dakor has announced a pause on its complimentary meal services at the annakhetra. This decision comes amid a shortage of commercial LPG cylinders, which are essential for cooking.
According to the temple’s food committee manager, the current supply issues make it impossible to serve meals to the large number of devotees visiting daily. “Given the flow of the devotees, it was not possible for us to provide the meals,” he said. About 1,000 devotees typically receive prasad at the temple each day.
Officials assured that they’re already in touch with local administration to resolve this issue and ensure that meals can be provided again as soon as supplies are restored. The temple committee remains hopeful about resuming services once they receive adequate stock.
