Students marked World Sparrow Day with an educational visit to the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), where they took part in a programme focused on sparrow conservation and environmental awareness.
The session featured birdwatching along a nature trail, nest-making activities, a scavenger hunt and a water relay game, all aimed at highlighting the importance of conserving every drop of water. Children were also encouraged to place water bowls and create bird-friendly spaces at home, and each participant was given a mud vessel for this purpose.
The visit was organised by the Shree Danev Foundation, which treats around 19,000–20,000 birds and animals annually, supports 60 underprivileged students, and is currently expanding facilities for permanently disabled animals.
