In a bid to accommodate rising travel demand, Western Railway has announced the introduction of four special Superfast trains connecting Ahmedabad with Mumbai and Pune.
According to a press release from Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, these trains will commence operation on various dates in early March 2026. The new services include:
1. Bandra Terminus – Ahmedabad AC Superfast Special
Train No. 09029 will leave Bandra Terminus at 12:05 AM on March 8, arriving in Ahmedabad at 8:40 AM. Its return journey, Train No. 09030, departs Ahmedbad on March 9 at 3:20 AM, reaching Bandra at 11:35 AM. This train will stop at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Bharuch, and Vadodara stations.
2. Additional Bandra Terminus – Ahmedabad Service
A second set of trips is scheduled for Train No. 09043 leaving Bandra on March 9, departing at 2:30 PM, with an arrival in Ahmedabad by 10:55 PM. The return service (Train No. 09044) leaves Ahmedabad the same day at 3:50 AM.
3. Ahmedabad – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Superfast AC Special
This service (Train No. 01154) will start from Ahmedabad on March 9, leaving at 4:00 AM. It’s expected to reach its destination by around 12:55 PM. The return trip (Train No. 01153) will depart from Mumbai on March 7 at10:05 PM and arrive back in Ahmedabad the next morning.
4. Ahmedbad – Pune Superfast Special Service
< p>This train route includes Train No .01418 from Ahmadabad departing at two :00 Am on March nine , reaching Pune by twelve :10 pm.< p>The reverse journey (Train No .01417 ) leaves Pune on March seven near five :30 pm and arrives back in Ahmadabad early morning the next day.< p>The booking for these trains opens up on March seventh across all PRS counters and online via the IRCTC website .
