Building on the strong response over the past two years, Thomas Cook India and SOTC have launched their 2026 charter programme featuring air charter-inclusive holiday packages across key markets in South and West India. The companies are the only travel service providers in India operating charter flights to Bhutan from Bengaluru, offering non-stop connectivity for travellers from South India, the company said.
To capitalise on the peak summer vacation period, multiple departures have been scheduled — from Bengaluru on April 24 and May 1, 8, and 15, 2026, and from Ahmedabad on May 3, 10, and 17, 2026.
These charter services create direct air links from Bengaluru and Ahmedabad to Bhutan, addressing a long-standing connectivity gap. Currently, travel to Bhutan typically involves multi-leg routes via metro hubs such as Delhi or Kolkata, requiring layovers, terminal transfers, and multiple check-ins. The charter option simplifies the journey significantly, offering a more seamless, time-efficient, and comfortable travel experience.
Along with all-inclusive group tours from Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, travellers can opt for customised itineraries tailored to individual preferences. The Special Saver Programme is priced from ₹76,000 per person* for a 7-day, 6-night itinerary from Bengaluru and from ₹79,000 per person* from Ahmedabad.
Tour Highlights include:
- Immersive group experiences such as a farmhouse lunch with local activities including archery and wearing the traditional kira, wine tasting, a riverside picnic in Punakha, and a beer-tasting session in Paro.
- Regional cuisine options — South Indian meals prepared by an Indian chef for Bengaluru departures, and authentic Gujarati cuisine including vegetarian and Jain options for Ahmedabad departures.
- Dedicated tour managers for group tours — Kannada-speaking for Bengaluru and Gujarati-speaking for Ahmedabad — ensuring smooth communication and comfort throughout the journey.
