At least 10 people were injured after a bus carrying workers involved in the Ahmedabad–Mumbai bullet train project crashed into a container truck on National Highway 48 near Navsari on Saturday morning. The accident caused major traffic disruption on the busy highway.
According to officials, the bus was en route to the work site when it collided with the container vehicle. The impact was severe, leaving the bus badly damaged and several workers injured.
Local police and 108 ambulance services rushed to the spot soon after the incident. The injured workers were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. No fatalities have been reported so far.
The collision led to long traffic queues on NH-48. Police diverted vehicles and worked to clear the congestion. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident.
