A teacher at Tripada School in the Ghatlodia area has been suspended after a Class 9 student accused him of hitting the boy without any valid reason. The action was taken after the student’s parents approached the school and demanded strict action.
According to sources, the school management reviewed CCTV footage in the presence of the parents and found the teacher scolding and beating the student. The footage reportedly showed that the student was not at fault, prompting the management to immediately suspend the teacher.
The incident occurred during an English period when the student, who was using a whitener, allegedly made some noise. This reportedly angered the teacher, who asked the student to stand up, took him aside and began scolding him. The student broke down and started crying, after which the parents reached the school and protested against the teacher’s conduct.
School administrator Archit Bhatt confirmed the incident and said the CCTV footage was examined as soon as the complaint was received. “The teacher was found guilty and failed to give any valid reason for slapping the student. Hence, he has been suspended,” Bhatt said. He added that the teacher, a senior English faculty member, had joined the school six months ago.
