A disturbing incident has come to light in Bamroli village of Kheda district, where a suspended sarpanch allegedly assaulted the acting sarpanch following a political rivalry, creating tension in the area.
According to details, the former sarpanch had contested the election illegally despite having three children. After a legal battle initiated by Maniben Solanki, it was established that the sarpanch was ineligible, leading to his suspension from the post. Enraged by this development, the suspended sarpanch reportedly went to the acting sarpanch’s residence along with a group of people and attacked him with sticks.
Family alleges inaction by police
Maniben Solanki’s family has alleged that despite filing a police complaint after the attack, no concrete action has been taken so far. They claim that even after being legally suspended, the former sarpanch continues to exert pressure and intimidation, creating an atmosphere of fear for the acting sarpanch and his family.
Villagers have expressed concern that failure to take strict action against the suspended sarpanch could disturb peace in the village. Meanwhile, police officials have stated that the matter is under investigation.
