State records 19% rise in November, far ahead of India’s 2.14% growth: FADA
Gujarat’s auto market saw a strong surge in November, posting 19% year-on-year growth — much higher than the national average of just 2.14%, according to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA).
The state showed impressive performance across all major vehicle categories. Passenger vehicle sales jumped 42.36%, two-wheelers grew 17.21%, and three-wheelers rose 38.94%. In comparison, India saw milder growth, with cars up 19.71%, two-wheelers down 3.10%, and three-wheelers up 23.67%.
Gujarat sold 1.72 lakh two-wheelers this November, up from 1.47 lakh last year. Car sales increased from 25,000 to 36,000, and commercial vehicles rose sharply from 5,171 to 8,537 — a 65% jump. National data showed mixed trends, with two-wheeler sales dipping and commercial vehicles falling from 79,000 to 74,000.
FADA Gujarat chairperson Pranav Shah attributed the state’s strong performance to steady post-Diwali demand, the business community’s continued purchases, the positive impact of GST reduction, and healthy rural buying.
The retail data is based on inputs from 1,401 out of 1,459 RTOs across India, compiled as of December 4, 2025.
