A training aircraft skidded off the runway at Amreli airport in Gujarat on Saturday morning, but no one was injured.
The incident happened during a routine training session when the aircraft suddenly lost control, slid on the runway, and moved off the paved surface. Airport officials said the skid likely caused the loss of control.
This incident has once again raised questions about safety at the Amreli training airstrip. A similar case was reported earlier, and in a previous major accident near the same airport, a pilot had lost his life.
Authorities reached the spot soon after the mishap. Later, the Amreli Prant Officer confirmed the runway excursion and said more details would be available after a technical review.
A detailed investigation will now look into what caused the skid — including whether weather, runway conditions, or technical problems were involved.
