Four people, including a newborn, were killed after an ambulance belonging to a private Modasa hospital caught fire near the Rana Saiyed area in Gujarat’s Aravalli district.
Two others travelling in the vehicle suffered severe burn injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to officials, the newborn was being taken to Ahmedabad for advanced treatment when the ambulance suddenly went up in flames. The blaze claimed the lives of the doctor, a nurse, the infant, and the child’s father. The two remaining passengers were critically injured.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Modasa Town Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
