The Rs 153-crore project to expand the Bagodara–Fedra–Dhandhuka road into a four-lane highway has reached its final stage, officials said. The upgraded stretch is expected to cut travel time and reduce fuel consumption for commuters.
Meanwhile, the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department has intensified repairs on damaged state highway sections near Ahmedabad, using high-quality asphalt to restore worn-out patches for smoother and safer travel.
Resurfacing work is also underway across key routes in Sanand and Bavla talukas. Major strengthening has begun on State Highway 144 (Sanand–Bavla road), which connects several villages — including Soyla, Pipan, Nani Devti, Modasar and Lodariyal — as well as important industrial and residential pockets. Officials said all works are progressing on a war footing.
