Ahmedabad is preparing for the Flower Show 2026 at the Sabarmati Riverfront, featuring over 170 theme-based sculptures created at a cost of several crores.
According to civic officials, the sculptures will draw inspiration from a wide range of themes — including the Bodhi tree, lion, aeronautics, cricket, windmills, and solar panels.
Organised annually by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for over a decade, the 2026 edition will expand to six zones from last year’s five, significantly increasing the number of sculptures.
The AMC’s Parks and Gardens Department has invited proposals for designing and installing the themed sculptures, which will be reviewed and approved by architects before display.
This year’s show will also celebrate India’s cultural diversity, featuring festival-themed sculptures such as Diwali, Uttarayan, and Onam, along with highlights like a Kerala-style boat and traditional dance figures.
The Flower Show has become one of Ahmedabad’s most popular annual attractions, known for its creative installations and colourful floral displays.
