Red Fort Blast Aftermath: Nationwide High Alert as Security Tightened Across Major States

Mumbai was placed on high alert after eight people were killed and 24 others injured in a powerful car explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi today. According to a media report, security agency sources told that vigilance has been intensified at key locations across Maharashtra’s capital.

Police forces in all districts of Uttar Pradesh and Dehradun have also been put on high alert. Authorities in Lucknow issued directives to ramp up patrols and conduct thorough checks in sensitive areas.

Following the Delhi blast, security has been strengthened along the Indo-Nepal border. Apart from the Border Security Force (BSF) deployed in the region, local police have been alerted as well. Both the BSF and the intelligence department are closely monitoring individuals crossing the open border to Nepal.

Security Agencies in Rajasthan on Alert
In Rajasthan, security agencies have been directed to remain vigilant in the wake of the Delhi explosion. DGP Rajiv Sharma instructed all Range Inspector Generals, District Superintendents, and officers at sensitive police stations to maintain high alertness. Security has been tightened in border districts, and vehicles entering from other states are undergoing strict checks.

As per media report, Delhi Police Commissioner, the explosion occurred in a slow-moving vehicle near the Red Fort traffic signal around 6:52 pm while the occupants were still inside. Deputy Chief Fire Officer A.K. Malik said fire officials received reports of a car blast, and the blaze was brought under control by 7:29 pm.
