A leopard was found electrocuted on Sunday night in Galthar village of Mahuva taluka. The incident came to light when a local farmer, Vitthalbhai, discovered the carcass in his field and alerted forest officials.
Forest officials have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem to confirm the cause of death. The farmer said that sightings of big cats are common in the area due to its proximity to the Gir Sanctuary.
