Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on a two-day trip starting October 30 to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for infrastructure and development projects worth 1,140 crore in Ektanagar, Kevadia, Narmada district.
He will lead the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations at the Statue of Unity, paying floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 150th birth anniversary. On the occasion, he will also release a 150 commemorative coin and a postage stamp honouring the Iron Man of India.
On October 31, PM Modi will attend the Ekta Diwas Parade in Kevadia, featuring contingents from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, and state police forces. The parade will recognise five Shaurya Chakra awardees from the CRPF and 16 gallantry medal winners from the BSF for their bravery in anti-Naxal and counter-terror operations. BSF personnel will also be honoured for their courage during Operation Sindoor.
This year’s parade will showcase 10 tableaux from various states and organisations — including Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, and the NSG — celebrating India’s ‘Unity in Diversity.’ A cultural performance by 900 artists will highlight the country’s classical dance traditions.
The 2025 celebration holds special importance as it marks Sardar Patel’s 150th birth anniversary. PM Modi will also interact with 660 officer trainees from 16 Indian civil services and three Bhutanese services, as part of Aarambh 7.0 — the 100th Foundation Course themed “Reimagining Governance.”
On October 30, PM Modi will inaugurate several projects including the Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla, 25 electric buses, an E-bus charging depot, Vaman Vriksha Vatika, Satpuda Protection Wall, Narmada Ghat extension, walkway from Ekta Dwar to Shreshtha Bharat Bhavan, dam replica fountain, and GSEC quarters in Ektanagar.
He will also lay the foundation stone for key upcoming projects such as the Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India, Veer Balak Udyan Sports Complex, Rainforest Project, Jetty Development near Shoolpaneshwar Ghat, and travelators at the Statue of Unity, among others.
