Motorists in Gujarat can now pay their traffic violation fines digitally through UPI apps such as Google Pay, PhonePe, BHIM, and YONO, under the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS).
The new payment facility, launched in collaboration with the State Bank of India (SBI), adds to the existing digital options available since 2023 through the ‘One Nation One Challan’ platform, which supports net banking, debit/credit cards, UPI, and PoS transactions via the m-Parivahan website.How it works:Users can open any UPI app, select the “State Traffic Branch, Gujarat” under BBPS, and complete the payment instantly.
All payments will be verified and settled as per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, ensuring a transparent and efficient process for fine collection.
