Semester 3 students (Batch of 2024) from the B.Des Furniture & Interior Design programme at the National Institute of Design recently showcased their self-designed furniture pieces. The display marked the culmination of a three-week Furniture Design & Construction (FDC) module, where students explored materials, joinery techniques, and spatial design principles.
Working hands-on with solid wood, they crafted functional furniture that reflected a balance of aesthetics, structure, and usability — all of which were featured in the exhibition.
