The Ahmedabad traffic police have announced traffic diversions and restrictions around EKA Arena, TransStadia Stadium in Kankaria for an awards event on October 11. The rules aim to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety during the high-profile event.
Timing of restrictions
- October 11: 3 pm to midnight
- October 12: Midnight to 2 am
Roads closed to vehicles
- Raipur Crossroads to Parsi Agiari – Kankaria Gate No. 3
- Vanijya Bhavan Crossroads to Parsi Agiari Tri Road
- Parsi Agiari Three Road to Vanijya Bhavan Four Road
- Anuvrat Circle to Kankaria Gate No. 3 (Football Ground route)
- Football Ground to Kankaria Gate No. 3 – Anuvrat Circle route
All surrounding roads and approaches will also be no-parking zones during the event.
Alternative routes for motorists
- From Raipur Crossroads: Kagdapith → Vanijya Bhavan → Anuvrat Circle → Maninagar/Hatkeshwar CTM
- From Vanijya Bhavan: New Cloth Market → Raipur
- From Parsi Agiari: Jogni Mata Temple → Football Ground → Apsara Cinema (Pushpa Kunj) → Tulsi Complex → Giraffe Circle
- From Anuvrat Circle: Anupam Bridge → Siddhivinayak Circle → Giraffe Circle → Tulsi Complex
One-way road
An 800-metre stretch between Lucknow Jalebi Three Roads and Kankaria Gate No. 3 – Anuvrat Circle will be one-way during the event hours.

Fire brigade and ambulances
Emergency services
Violators will face action under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Gujarat Police Act.
Police deployment
Officers from the Ahmedabad Police Commissionerate will manage traffic at major junctions, enforce diversions, and ensure smooth flow around the stadium. Residents are advised to avoid traveling near Kankaria–Maninagar unless necessary.
