A 52-year-old businessman from Thaltej has filed a complaint with Vastrapur police, alleging that five paying guest (PG) residents — three men and two women — were involved in obscene acts on a bench inside his housing society and abused him when confronted.
According to the FIR filed by Bhavinbhai Trilokbhai Patel, a resident of Sun Star Society near Gulab Tower Road, the incident occurred around 3 am about four months ago when he returned home from work. Patel stated that he saw the youths “kissing each other in public” on the society bench.
When he asked them to leave, one of the men allegedly argued, claiming they lived in a nearby PG at Krishna Flats and had the right to sit there. Patel said the group then started abusing him.
He informed the PG owner, Charuben Khokhara, about their behaviour. Though she assured action, Patel alleged the issue continued, prompting him to approach the police.
Vastrapur police have registered a case under sections related to obscene acts and abusive behaviour in public places. Patel has requested police to identify and act against the accused PG residents and stated that society members witnessed the incident.
