The Flipkart Big Billion Days 2025 sale promised massive discounts on premium smartphones, with the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro among the hottest deals. The iPhone 16 (128GB) was advertised at ₹51,999, while the iPhone 16 Pro (128GB) was listed at ₹75,999—prices that drew thousands of eager buyers.
But excitement quickly turned to outrage. Within hours of placing orders, many customers received cancellation notifications, despite successful payments. Screenshots flooded social media, with users calling the sale a “Big Billion Scam.” Flipkart reportedly cited “payment failure” as the reason, even though transactions had gone through.
Complaints weren’t limited to iPhone buyers—customers who ordered the Google Pixel 9, Nothing Phone 3, and iPhone 14 also reported abrupt cancellations and price hikes soon after.
Flipkart has yet to release a statement addressing the widespread cancellations and customer backlash.
