A petition has been filed in the Gujarat High Court seeking a stay on the teaser of Bollywood film Jolly LLB-3, alleging that it depicts a judge in an undignified manner.
Filed by Yatin Desai in person, the plea names the Central Board of Film Certification, director Subhash Kapoor, and actors Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and Saurabh Shukla as respondents. It also challenges the film’s certification.
The petition argues that the teaser shows a judge using inappropriate language and trivialises judicial proceedings by presenting them as comic quarrels, thereby undermining the dignity of the court.
The matter is likely to be heard on Thursday before Justice Niral Mehta.
