Three students of Rajkot’s R K University lost their lives in a road accident on the Rajkot–Bhavnagar highway early Saturday morning near Atkot–Jangvad, while they were on their way to Diu.
Police said the students had rented a car for the trip when the crash occurred. The deceased were identified as Naresh Subarav, Harsha, and Afreen.
Officials rushed to the spot, moved the bodies to a hospital for postmortem, and registered a case of accidental death. Families of the victims are being informed, while further investigation into the accident is underway.
