A new CNG-powered dog crematorium will soon be established at the ABC Centre in Behrampura at a cost of ₹30 lakh. The facility, procured through the North East Machine Karmasand Agency, is expected to become operational within four months.
According to Naresh Rajput, head of the Cattle Nuisance Control Department, the crematorium will use scientific methods for the final disposal of deceased animals. It will be equipped with a dual-chamber system, allowing cremation of two large dogs at a time, while ensuring smoke remains odourless and colourless.
With over 18,000 registered pet dogs in Ahmedabad, the facility will offer pet owners a dignified option for the cremation of their beloved animals.
