Families of victims of the June 12 Ahmedabad plane crash have hired top US aviation lawyer Mike Andrews to sue aircraft manufacturer Boeing. The crash, which killed over 70 people from Ahmedabad, Surat, and other cities, has prompted a united legal fight, with more families expected to join soon.
Andrews met victims’ families in Surat on August 8, visited Diu on August 9 to speak with the sole survivor, and on Sunday toured the crash site in Meghaninagar, Ahmedabad. The families are calling for an impartial judicial probe and access to the flight’s black box and voice recorder data, which are seen as key to the investigation.
