On August 10, 28 tribal science students from Tapi district will visit the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) satellite launch centre in Sriharikota as part of a study tour.
According to a media report, the trip is organised by the state tribal development department and Tapi administration. The students, from 15 government schools, will fly from Surat to Chennai before heading to ISRO. They were chosen through a test for Class 11 and 12 science students from tribal schools.
Tapi District Collector Dr. Vipin Garg met the students and their parents on Saturday, calling it a rare opportunity. The students presented him with a specially designed T-shirt.
The group will be accompanied by school principals, teachers, and district officials during the tour.
