The Archaeological Science Centre under the Department of Earth Sciences at IIT Gandhinagar is conducting a week-long hands-on workshop on Lithic Use-Wear Analysis. The program brings together 20 selected participants from academic and research institutions across India for an immersive learning experience in this specialized archaeological technique.
Lithic use-wear analysis is a key method for interpreting the functions of prehistoric stone tools using microscopic and experimental approaches.
The workshop is being coordinated by Prof. V.N. Prabhakar, Associate Professor at the Archaeological Science Centre, and Dr. Devara Anil, Assistant Research Professor.
