Following a maintenance shutdown at the 400 MLD Jaspur Water Works on Monday, most areas across the river will experience a reduced water supply on Tuesday.
Due to technical reasons, the Water Production Department of Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) carried out a shutdown at Jaspur Water Works on Monday from 8 am to 4 pm.
Areas including Paldi, Sarkhej, Chandkheda, and Ranip will be affected.
Moreover, areas like Ghatlodia, Chandlodia, Bodakdev, Thaltej, as well as Jodhpur, Maktampura, and parts of the West Zone including Vasna, Navrangpura, and Nava Vadaj, will receive water on Tuesday based on the available stock.
This shutdown is necessary due to scheduled maintenance work by GETCO (Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation), the power supplier for the Jaspur 66 KV Substation, as part of pre-monsoon activities. According to further reports, regular water supply schedules are expected to resume on Wednesday.
