The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Gandhinagar held its Graduation Project Showcase 2025, featuring a seminar, a fashion show, and displays of creative products.
Students from departments like Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories, Textile Design, Fashion Design, and Fashion Communication presented their final projects. Their work included both stylish and thoughtful designs made from unique materials such as glass beads, electric wires, recycled plastic, jute, brass, wood, concrete, and galvanized steel. Some designs were bold and artistic, showing how young designers blend history with innovation.
NIFT Director Sameer Sood spoke at the event, highlighting India’s recent achievement as the fourth-largest economy in the world and its expected rise to the third position by 2028. He encouraged the graduating students to explore new opportunities in “New India,” especially in fields like fashion and textiles.
The seminar featured inspiring talks from industry experts like Deepak Sheta (Apple Group Surat), Shefali Gaur (IBN), Shailendra Kumar Nigam (Mangal Textiles), and Andrew Leo (Athflex).
Student exhibitions were given creative names like Pratinaad, Tantu, and Tatva, and the event concluded with a fashion show titled Impulse, showcasing the work of Fashion Design students.
