vehicle movement was disrupted on National Expressway 1 on Thursday morning after two trucks caught fire following a collision, around 10 km before Ahmedabad, officials said.
According to Station Fire Officer Mata Prasad Pandey, the accident happened around 4:15 am when a moving truck hit a parked one from behind. One of the truck drivers was injured and is currently receiving treatment.
Firefighters are working to control the blaze at the spot.
In a separate incident last month, a fire broke out on the 8th floor of a residential building in Ahmedabad’s Memnagar area. The fire started on May 22 at Subhash Chowk, reportedly after a blast. Thick smoke was seen rising from the building in visuals from the scene.
