COVID-19 cases are rising in Gujarat, with 461 active cases reported as of Tuesday. Out of these, 20 people are in the hospital and 441 are recovering at home. So far, 43 people have been discharged, and one death has been reported.
Health officials say the new cases are mostly due to Omicron sub-variants LF.7.9 and XFG Recombinant. Most patients have mild symptoms like low fever, cold, and cough.
People recovering at home are advised to monitor their health closely. If they feel chest pain, have trouble breathing, or experience other serious symptoms, they should visit the nearest health center immediately.
Those with health problems or weak immunity are especially advised to avoid crowds and wear masks when going out.
Experts say that COVID-19 cases tend to rise every 6 to 8 months, but there is no need to panic.
In Ahmedabad, 50 new cases were reported in a single day. Sadly, the city also recorded a second COVID-related death this week—an 18-year-old pregnant woman from Vinzol died during treatment. Earlier, a 47-year-old woman had also passed away at L G Hospital.
