A shocking video went viral showing a woman hanging her son upside down by his legs from a third-floor terrace in Rajkot.
Based on the viral video, the Malviyanagar police recorded the statement of a 30-year-old woman named Sandhyaben. In her statement, she explained that she has a four-year-old only son and lives on the first floor.
Her son would often pick lemons from their home and throw them at children playing downstairs, which would sometimes hit and hurt them. After receiving complaints, she tried to explain and discipline him, but he didn’t listen and continued his mischief.
In an attempt to scare him, she went to an extent where she took her son to the third-floor terrace and held him upside down by his legs. According to the police, her sister-in-law, who lives in the same building, filed a complaint about the incident involving the child.
Her statement was also recorded, in which she confirmed the facts shared by Sandhyaben, suggesting that the mother did not intend to throw the child down.
Sandhyaben, who is from Uttar Pradesh, shocked people when she hung her son upside down. Witnesses screamed in fear. When her husband heard the noise, he came to the terrace and saved the child. Police said the incident happened on Monday evening.
