The Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM), Ahmedabad, has commenced a comprehensive five-day training program for laboratory assistants and instructors, organized in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Bhopal (NITTTRB), Regional Centre, Ahmedabad. The program began on May 5th, 2025, and aims to strengthen the technical and operational competencies of the institute’s laboratory and workshop staff.

The training sessions are being led by two eminent experts from NITTTRB — Dr. Nishit Dubey, Professor and State Coordinator for Gujarat, and Dr. A. S. Walkey, Professor, Head, and Dean (E & IM), NITTTRB. Their extensive expertise and academic leadership are expected to enrich the participants’ understanding and practical knowledge across several critical domains.

Key focus areas of the program includemaintenance and management of laboratory and workshop equipment, practical skill development demonstration strategies,implementation of safety protocols and best practices in laboratory settings, understanding and application of earthing systems, insight into effective procurement processes and other essential operational and technical skills.

This initiative underscores IITRAM’s steadfast commitment to capacity building and the professional development of its technical staff. By equipping lab personnel with enhanced skills and up-to-date knowledge, the Institute aims to ensure safe, efficient, and well-maintained laboratory environments that support academic excellence and innovation.
