A mild earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck Gujarat’s Kutch district late Tuesday night, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed. The tremor occurred at 11:26 PM at a depth of 20 kilometers.
CCTV footage from the area captured poles shaking and lights flickering during the tremors, which were felt across several parts of the district.
In a post on social media platform X, NCS stated: “EQ of M: 4.3, On: 22/04/2025 23:26:11 IST, Lat: 23.52 N, Long: 69.95 E, Depth: 20 Km, Location: Kachchh, Gujarat.”
Authorities have not reported any injuries or structural damage so far. Emergency services remain on alert as a precaution.
